Two Jefferson residents and a Salem man were arrested following an altercation early Sunday morning.
At 12:42am, Marion County Deputies were called to a loud disturbance in the 100 block of North 5th Street in Jefferson. The caller reported a large party that had been disturbing the neighborhood for hours. The caller also reported hearing screams coming from the house.
When Deputies Matthew Hagan and Mark Ferron arrived, they observed a subject being held against his will in the living room of the house. The subject was screaming loudly, and threatening to kill someone else in the house. They entered the residence to ensure the safety of everyone present.
The subject being restrained was identified as David Gonzales, 21, of Salem. He was screaming threats toward another subject who could be heard yelling from a back room in the house. Deputies restrained Gonzales, but another resident, Jeremy Moldonado, 33, immediately confronted them. Moldonado demanded the deputies leave the residence, but given the circumstances, they remained to check on the welfare of the other people in the house.
Moldonado became increasingly hostile and was soon joined by a third subject, Teodoro Duran III. It was Duran that Gonzales was threatening to kill when deputies first arrived. Other residents at the house had tried, unsuccessfully, to break up the fight between the two. Alcohol was a factor in this investigation.
At the request a Hagan, additional deputies from Marion & Linn County arrived, along with Troopers from the Oregon State Police. Ultimately the situation was calmed, but all three suspects were arrested for interfering with a Police Officer.
They were booked at the Marion County Jail.
